Art competition for my sculpture is tomorrow. Finished today with its base and all. Uh here's that:

So this has had my full attention for the past week. Got a few ideas for Valentines art so that'll be my weekend other than the competition. I'll have it posted on the 14th so I might have a sketch post tonight to be a hold over for this week. I'll update on the competition results once I get them probably next week. :)

Really wanted to try and put something out this weekend. Took a little break after the last post but sinuses have me hurting insanely bad at my computer. Hopefully over the next couple days it'll lighten up a bit and I can work but for now there might be another sketch post to hold me over.

Wanting to bring in some aspects that will help characterize Stephen and show who they are, what's going on with them, and why it's happening. The last post was Steph having a panic attack which pushed them out of their own body letting another take over (Tried to show this by having the 2nd outline steph be visibly worried/scared).

Anyway there's a lot I've already taken time to write and I'm also still working on the storyboard and dialogue for the short I want to make so... REALLY hoping to get better VERY soon.

Animation is hard but I'm having a lot of fun experimenting with it. Here's a small shitty test I did a couple days ago from one of the storyboards:

In other news I have some ideas for art I'd like to do and I already have a piece lined up to release probably tomorrow. It's a little heavier in work than my normal pieces and heavier in a story way. It introduces a "new character" in a way I won't spoil nor just outright say in the art but I think it gives it away in the visuals. At least I hope I convey it well enough.

Anyway thats all for this update. I still don't know why I get so nervous if I don't post for like 2 or more days.

I've started storyboarding for a 3+ minute short about Stephen which will hold a little exposition and show off ideas I have for the future. It will work as a pilot of sorts for a longer segmented animation project I've been planning. This is actually probably the most I've drawn Stephen since I first made them back in November.

Been causing myself unnecessary stress about not posting even though it's only been 4 days but it's got me pulling my hair out.

Removed the "alfreds_playhouse" tag from most of my posts. Not as a "I don't want to be associated with it" but I just don't want to flood the tag.

I apologize for the lack of content over the past almost 2 weeks. Hit a wall in what I wanted to do with Stephen and I've been cranking out ideas since new years. Finally starting to piece together how I want to portray these characters and what I want them to do. I've also been practicing a few techniques to make my art pop a little more. Going to be putting out some normal art but also have got a big project in the works which has been taking my thunkin time. Anyway, expect something soon because I gots big things in the works. (Also maybe expect another sketch post with scrapped sketches that fit a different version of Steph's story)

I'm going to try and push myself tonight and put something Steph out but the one I've been working on for the past 2ish days isn't coming out exactly how I want so it may get scrapped. If nothing comes out tonight or tomorrow I'll see all of you in 2024! I've got a lot of non-holiday specific Stephen sketches I'm ready to work on so please stick around!

I've tried to be consistently putting stuff out everyday or every other day. That may slow down over the next week but I work on stuff almost every night. Anyway here's a teaser of what I couldn't finish today but will tomorrow. Also THANKS TO WHOEVER SCOUTED ME YESTERDAY I WAS SHAKING!
